Getting Started

To get the best result when growing tomatoes, plant seeds in a 5 to 1 ratio of good soil and black worm castings. Press down lightly.

Make an indention on top of the soil and place about an inch of worm castings. Then place your tomato seeds in the hole.

Cover the seeds and water with a 20 to 1 ratio of VermaPlex and water. To prevent evaporation, you can cover with plastic.

Place in a warm place. VermaPlex encourage seeds to sprout faster, so check for sprouts often.

As soon as you notice plantings, place them in good light.

After the first leaves have grown on the tomato plants, apply a mix of 1 gallon of water with 4 to 6 ounces of VermaPlex.

Before transplanting the seedling into the final container or garden, transplant them into a container, leaving only the top third of the plant above the soil. This encourages the plant to grow strong thick stems.

Water with a mixture of 2 ounces of VermaPlex to one gallon over water every 1 to 2 weeks. Throughout the growing season, scatter worm castings around the tomato plants.
